My Work

I design websites for a living. The one you're looking at now is only one of hundreds I've created over the years.

I started when I was 15, just for fun. I made a few sites in my free time after school, and started to take it more seriously in college.

Nowadays, my job is pretty diverse - the way it is for most freelance webdesigners. It mostly consists of:

• Graphic design
• Page layout and interface design
• Information architecture, wireframing, sitemapping
• Markup (using valid XHTML)
• CSS coding
• Usability testing/knowledge
• Accessibility testing/knowledge
• Front-end programming (mostly JavaScript)
• Back-end development (mostly PHP)
• MySQL database development (pretty complex ones, too!)
• Image editing/production
• Writing/editing of copy for the web

Work can be difficult and stressful at times, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I use Adobe Photoshop to create all my initial designs, and Coda to translate the design into a website. Yes, I hand-code, always have. You might say I can be a bit of a control freak at times. :)
